All Competitions organized by mango architecture are open ideas design competitions with no intentions to execute the proposals submitted in any form. The competitions are open to students, teachers, designers, professionals, and the inspired design community. How does a team receive their unique registration code? All the participants will only receive the unique registration code after completing the registration and the payment process. The code will be mailed to your registered email address within 24 hours. If you didn't find the mail, we request you to please check your spam folder of the mailbox before mailing us for the same. Can we submit any old competition projects? Yes! You can submit any old competition project in this competition as far as it isn’t in a top 3 winning entry in any other competitions. Is hand-drawn sheets allowed in the competition? Yes, they are allowed, participants can scan and mail them to us at submission@mangoarchitecture.com Just follow all the submissions guidelines carefully. Is the competition judged anonymously? All entries are reviewed anonymously by the competition jury. Upon registration each team receives a unique registration code, this code is the only mean by which submissions are identified. Can we change/swap team members after the registrations? Teams are welcome to add, remove, or swap team members as long as their total members do not exceed three[3]. What should the participants do in case the payment modes are not available in our country? We request our participants to send us an e-mail at query@mangoarchitecture.com to get an alternate payment method link. We would send you all the possible payment methods for you to participate. We are already accepting payments from all the countries. Are we allowed to submit the proposal anytime we want or is there any specific date and time or dealine for the submission? All the competitions organized by mango architecture have their specific submission deadline, date and time. But, once you registered and ready with your submission you can submit it on submission@mangoarchitecture.com followed with the submission guidelines before the deadline meets. Mango Architecture, in collaboration with Nonurbanism, is pleased to invite architects, students, engineers, designers, and artists from around the globe to take part in the 'Call for Nonurban ideas 2021'. BTOP FOREWORD This competition aims to recognize outstanding ideas that address the unequal and often extractive relationships between the urban and nonurban halves of the world, by speaking to the people living on the peripheries of large metropolitan centers, cities, small towns, or rural areas. Here, we would like you to generate proposals that focus on the strengths of communities, upholding the dignity of humanity and supplanting current, dominant urbanizing biases. Ideas may spring from any concern, be it socio-cultural, socio-political, or socio-economic but finding expression in the spatial relationships between communities and their environments including the commons - land, water, forest, or settlements. Specifically, it is a call to examine the relationships between rural communities and the processes that define them. There are no restrictions regarding site, program, or size. The objective is to provide maximum freedom to the participants to engage the project without constraints in the most creative way. However, we urge you to profile a nonurban community where you have specific native insights into the culture and legacies of the area. Such a proposal can be developed for submission to invested authorities and/or private international funders.
