Mango Architecture, in collaboration with Nonurbanism, is pleased to invite architects, students, engineers, designers, and artists from around the globe to take part in the 'Call for Nonurban ideas 2021'. BTOP FOREWORD This competition aims to recognize outstanding ideas that address the unequal and often extractive relationships between the urban and nonurban halves of the world, by speaking to the people living on the peripheries of large metropolitan centers, cities, small towns, or rural areas. Here, we would like you to generate proposals that focus on the strengths of communities, upholding the dignity of humanity and supplanting current, dominant urbanizing biases. Ideas may spring from any concern, be it socio-cultural, socio-political, or socio-economic but finding expression in the spatial relationships between communities and their environments including the commons - land, water, forest, or settlements. Specifically, it is a call to examine the relationships between rural communities and the processes that define them. There are no restrictions regarding site, program, or size. The objective is to provide maximum freedom to the participants to engage the project without constraints in the most creative way. However, we urge you to profile a nonurban community where you have specific native insights into the culture and legacies of the area. Such a proposal can be developed for submission to invested authorities and/or private international funders. After great success in ATA2024 with 600+ registrations from around the globe , the International Thesis Award aims to promote and give a global platform to showcase the talents of Young Graduates and Post Graduates, acknowledging the projects amongst young and influential industry professionals. All the participants will only receive the unique registration code after completing the registration process. The code will be mailed to your registered email address within 48 hours. If you didn't find the mail, we request you to please check your spam folder of the mailbox before mailing us for the same. Is hand-drawn sheets allowed in the competition? Yes, they are allowed, participants can scan and mail them to us at submission@mangoarchitecture.com Just follow all the submissions guidelines carefully. Is the competition judged anonymously? All entries are reviewed anonymously by the competition jury. Upon registration each team receives a unique registration code, this code is the only mean by which submissions are identified. What should the participants do in case the payment modes are not available in our country? We request our participants to send us an e-mail at query@mangoarchitecture.com to get an alternate payment method link. We would send you all the possible payment methods for you to participate. We are already accepting payments from all the countries. Can I have a refund of the registration fee? No. As already mentioned in the terms and conditions, reimbursement is not possible under any circumstances. Are we allowed to submit the proposal anytime we want or is there any specific date and time or dealine for the submission? All the competitions organized by mango architecture have there specific submission deadline, date and time.
